The two-volume ›dtv-Atlas of Physics‹ presents the basic principles and research findings in physics, i.e. mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, electricity, solid-state physics and modern physics. Each subject is dealt with under a separate heading. Colour charts and diagrams are juxtaposed with the text, illustrating and elucidating the context. A detailed register of names, a subject index and a bibliography make the atlas a comprehensive reference work.
The atlas is destined to reach a wide audience: pupils, students, engineers, technicians and laboratory workers, as well as interested members of the public.
For atom and nuclear physics please refer to the ›dtv-Atlas of Atomic and Nuclear Physics‹.
